Dear Readers,
First off, Hello! I’m Nicole if you hadn’t already taken that away from my home page. I am currently a third year in my second semester at Seton Hall University and am enrolled in the Social Media In Journalism course here. And that is what constitutes this blog! Throughout the semester I will observe different career fields such as journalism and public relations to see how these fields interact with our society’s ever-evolving social media platforms.
As a member of Gen Z, social media has been an extremely important and influential part of my growing up. I have used Instagram for as long as I can remember and see the day-to-day influenced it has on people’s lives. I am guilty for spending far too much time on my phone, but I am excited for this semester to teach me just how far the reach of social media has reached.
